A very attractive late 19th century - 'Arts & Crafts' - extending book stand.
This piece shows fine design and craftsmanship in oak with darkly patinated brass mountings. The side pieces slide to accomodate a variable number of books, etc.
This stand is in excellent original condition with nearly all its original finish combined with excellent color and patina.
A fine and not common desk or shelf piece for the collector of 'Arts & Crafts' period antiques.
