Great gilt wood frame, American ca. 1880. Very special piece that came out of a Newport Mansion 25 years ago. We stored it in our attic waiting for the perfect painting. We moved in February and decided to sell the frame on its own. The quality of the workmanship is outstanding and it is in very good condition excepting a few minor losses here and there. This frame would make any painting a stand out. A bevelled mirror may also be used to enhance the look of any wall. This frame may be used horizontally or vertically.
