Fine inlaid Satinwood Box, English or American, ca. 1790.

This box is an especially attractive 18th century piece with very nicely grained satinwood set off by rosewood cross banding,ebony and light wood string inlay, and 'Campaign' brass handles.

The interior has partitions and black velvet lining. Below is a pull out drawer also with black velvwt lining . This impressive and beautiful box is fine condition with some minor restoration of the edge string inlay.

This impressive box would be useful for keeping jewelry, small collector's items, and/or as an accent piece in a formal period setting.
