Very unusual Music Box in the form of the Taj Mahal created by Fred Zimabalist, Cleveland Ohio period 1925-1935. The chrome plated Bronze case was made to order for the Zimbalist Co. in India with the music box movement from coming from Switzerland. Each Zimbalist music box is said to be of a different form. No two are alike. This one is a fantastic example of his work.

The top of the Taj Mahal is hinged and the music plays when the box is opened. Very nice tune but one we don't recognize.
