Rare, Diminutive Skeleton Clock

Shown above is a rare diminutive ormolu bronze skeletonized French mantle clock. The clock dates from around 1845. The eight day time and strike movement is by "Marti" for "Bally, Paris". This clock has the additional rare feature of hand painted Sevres porcelain plaques at the base of the columns. The clock is mounted on an ebonized base with a glass dome. The entire clock is in fine condition. This clock was a fine and important clock in its time. It remains so, with its classical form and timeless quality.
