Rare and beautiful English diamond brooch from the reign of George III, circa 1800. The bi-level somewhat avian design sparkles and shines with one hundred twenty-seven diamonds.
The diamonds are both mine cut and rose cut, and vary in color, clarity, and size, which seems typical of many Georgian pieces of jewelry. The brooch metal is sterling silver which is also a feature of many pieces from this era.
This impressive piece is in fine condition with all diamonds in place and secure. We have had the piece cleaned and checked by a jeweler.
