Fine and impressive 19th century Anglo/Indian Silver Mug by "C. Krishniah Chetty, Bangalore" India. The quite heavy silver mug is in Anglo form girdled by a series of repousse, chased, and engraved vignettes representing figures from the Hindu Pantheon. The quality of decoration and workmanship is of the highest order. This silversmith is known as one of the finest artist/smiths of his period. The mug is in excellent condition
