Fine and rare Anglo/Indian Silver Presentation mug decorated in Chinese Export Silver style. This heavy mug is by the famous silversmiths, Hamilton and Co., Calcutta. The mug is repousse, chased, and engraved in "Bamboo" pattern with fine matt background and bamboo handle. The presentation inscription reads: "Dennis C. W. Sanders, July 29th, 1894", and on the base of the mug, "From his Godfather J. A. MacDougall." We believe the mug to be earlier than its 1894 inscription. Perhaps a MacDougall family piece that was engraved later for a special occaison. The mug is in excellent condition retaining its gold washed interior. Height: 4 1/2" Price: $1450.00
